Family

"Family is love."

It's Mooncake Festival today. All Chinese celebrate it. =). There is a reason why we all celebrate this special day, and it comes with a tale.

I was suppose to be at Youth tonight but stayed back instead to help my parents out. The Children and Senior Youth were coming over to my house to celebrate Mooncake Festival. We all gathered by the pool side and the young kids started playing with water and eventually went to have a swim. We all had so much fun. It brought back so many good memories.

I remembered when I was a little girl, I would just wait for this day to come by. It's the only day when I can lit candles and not being scold and take my lantern with me walking around the park. I always help me lantern high so people would notice how special it is. It's not made out of paper, but colorful plastics. My first lantern was a rabbit. Rabbit is also one of the symbol for Mooncake Festival.

Tonight, I lit candles again. Not for myself though, for the little girls and boys who wants to lit their lantern. I accidentally burnt my thumb while trying to lit a candle and the little kids around me immediately asked am I okay, and should I continue help them lit their lanterns. Haha. It's so sweet of them, though I dunno whether they really care for me or they just want me to lit their lanterns. The way they call me is so cute! "Xue Wen Jie Jie~" Hahaha. It's been such a long time since I heard anyone call my Chinese name.

On the way walking back to my home, I saw families gathering at the playground. Talking and laughing together. It's such a warming sight! I haven't seen this like for years. It really made my heart felt warm. =).

I guess we should all appreciate what we have now. It's not like everyday we get to be together. Yea... Should spend a lot more time with my family now. =). I love them dearly.

P/P/S: To all my sweetheart friends. I LOVE YOU!

P/P/P/S: I love myself. XD

XOXO,
Nathalie
