Blahh~ Before I begin, I just wanna thank you guys for reading my blog.
Like 20 views in a day, wow, I think like that's the most views my blog EVER has since 2008. So thank you guys, for actually taking time to read my life. Ahaha
Moving on, I created an Ask.FM account so for those curious beings out there, drop 'em questions here:
http://ask.fm/ThalieChong and I'll promise to be as honest as possible unless they're VERY sensitive questions.
OKAY!
So here you go.
Part II :)
So after Hamilton, we headed for Mata-Mata, which is more commonly known as Hobbiton for foreigners :)
Joanna and I.
The Shire's Rest
Went in to get our tickets and the weather was starting to get gloomy and yea, was expecting it to rain pretty soon. Which it did. It was literally pouring and I was quite gutted to be honest. Thought we'd get to see a Sunny side of The Shire instead y'know.
This is inside the Shire's Rest. All sorts of merchandise here, including Maps of Middle Earth :)
Very cool yet pricey stuffs.
And off to the Shire! :D
Do you recognize this place, fellow LOTR fans?! Well, apparently, this is where Frodo came running and jumped onto Gandalf's cart in the very first movie of LOTR :)
Don't wanna get lost now, do we.
The very first Hobbit hole. So the people who built this place deliberately built some Hobbit holes to be smaller than people, or more specifically Gandalf so it'll make him look tall, whereas some as built to be bigger so it'd fit Frodo! Optical illusion y'know :).
This one here is clearly the smaller version and thats why we looked taller.
And this one fits me perfectly! Well, I have always been a Hobbit anyway :P
Group picture :D
In case you're wondering how it looks on the inside, this is how it looks like.
Most of the Hobbit holes are actually only an exterior, there's actually nothing inside and you can't even open the doors, while some, like this one, actually opens up but with no interior whatsoever.
And presenting THE Hobbit hole of all the Hobbit holes~ LOL. Anyway, this is Bag End! :) Home to Frodo and Bilbo Baggins :)
I could live here to be honest. Its so beautiful.
At the end of the tour, we get to have free drinks :D And well, to me, its where bad things started to happen.
Ginger Beer.. Absolutely no alcohol in it, but you'll have to keep reading Part III to find out what actually happened to me.
I love this one :)
And the polaroids picture that we took :D
Goodbye Shire.
And Hello Rotorua.
Yours truly,
Nathalie.
