September Wish

Uiyohhhh!

Blogger has turn advance and I'm liking it.

Anyway, was going to update tomorrow but didn't because I got caught up with watching movie.

Honestly, I don't have much to update on either... That really makes me feel horrible as to like other people have such dedication to their blogs whereas I'm like, blahhhhh...

So there you go, a picture of me before heading to school.

I'm still dedicated what?!

Dedicated to my vanity.

Since I don't like much to update on my blog, I might as well as post my recent Creative Writing that I am doing at school. This assignment requires students to write a 1st Chapter of their own "novel", so in a more simple tense, it means that we're required to write a 800 words long INTRODUCTION.

Yea, just an introduction.

But here's my story. And give me some thoughts?

***

“Odette and Siegfried realizing that the spell cannot be broken, ultimately making it impossible for the lovers to stay together, finally choose to leap into the lake and drown together. As the Sun rises, Odette and Siegfried ascend into Heaven together, united in love for all eternity.” –Swan Lake

Chapter 1

Leila:
The shadow of the night is already slowly filling up the corner of the streets as Lilia and I make our way towards home after a long day of school.

Odile…” That name whispered through my ears.

“Did you called me something?” I turned to my twin sister who was walking behind me. Assuming and almost convinced that she was the one who “called” me Odile.

She shrugged. “I didn’t say anything.”

It was the story “Swan Lake” that I studied in Drama today. It just keeps finding its way crawling into my mind. Odile, The Black Swan, her name felt strangely familiar when I first heard it. Odile, her name seemed like it fitted perfectly to be mine. I tried to shake that thought off, but it was planted firm and strong in my head, and heart. I felt the excitement of how Odile betrayed Odette, how she literally took away her twin sister’s love and only joy by seducing Siegfried and keeping him for herself, and the pain that Odile caused eventually killed Odette. How scarily amazing it felt. I felt it all, running in my veins.

The cold breeze of the night glides its way like a feather in the air, lifting the dried maple leaves to their little dances. Yet something else fills the air tonight.  Something was hiding itself at the corner of the streets. That thought made me quiver. The town seems a little too empty tonight. Even Lake Ontario calmed down with ripples crawling on the shore.

“Leila, are you okay?” asked Lilia with deep concern in her cloudy blue eyes. There is always something about Lilia’s eyes. They seem to bear a pool of sorrows in them even when she has her brightest smile upon her pale face.

“Leila?” she asked again.

I startled.

“Yea, I’m okay.” With a shrugged I kept walking. As the breeze settled down, so did the thought of me being Odile settled in my head, again. I would love to talk to my sister about it, but the feeling of comfort when I picture my sister dying, it frightened me a little. Just a little.

Lilia:

Something was bothering Leila, I could tell by the look of her eyes when we were walking home. Her eyes that were slate gray with tiny threads of a deep ocean blue. They were filled with thoughts. In this misty night, it almost made her eyes looked black.

I slowly shift myself to the window, listening to the tiny splatters of the rain against the glass window as they form their own little rhythm of music. I closed my eyes as I tried to let myself drift away from all the stress from school and allowing my mind to wander freely. Yet, my mind unconsciously settled down in the story “Swan Lake”. Images began to form in my head. Images of Odette being happily in love with Siegfried who promised to break the spell for her.

Then, it all began to change.
A shadowy figure appeared, slowly approaching me with a dagger. It took me quite a while to realize who that person was, yet it was all clear when I saw her eyes.

“Leila?” I was shaking.

“Hello, Odette. My sweet little sister.” She said with a sadistic smirk upon her face as she held the dagger up.

“What are you doing Leila?” I found myself retreating involuntarily while she walked closer and closer. She grabbed hold of my hand with such strength; it felt like she was draining my energy from her grip.

Then, she stabbed me.

A sharp light made me feeling light headed as I woke up in sweats, hyperventilating. The pain was still there. I lowered my hands to my waist, almost expecting that I will feel something, blood. I gathered my fears and tried to forget about it. The pain is still there although I felt neither blood nor wounds.
I told myself reassuringly that it was just a dream, but I never get to really convinced myself. That was the haunting truth. I did not believe that it was only just a dream. Odette, the White Swan. I questioned myself several time, not understanding why Leila was addressing me as Odette. Every feeling that I felt in that dream, I felt it before. It was not another ordinary déjà vu.

My mind was set to wander again until a thundery boom from the drums of heaven shocked the walls of my room.

Outside, it turned into a stormy night.

So there you go! My story. Give me some thoughts and comments about it ayy.

It still need some cleaning up here and there but yea, that's basically it.

As for my September wish, well, I honestly just wanna ace in my exams. That's all I'm asking for

Much love,
Thalie.C
